Ride and Park- A splendid way to explore alternative parking
We thought we’d run foul of Cambridge’s parking attendants, but no, apparently it’s just the Supreme Leader giving us our latest mission to *SAVE THE WORLD*. Watch the video above to learn more about our mission. Oooh… and it also features our cat. So if you like cats, give the screen a stroke when he appears and we’re sure he’ll feel the digital strokiness of it.
*Thank you Klaxon*
If you have kids, and you’re questioning your preparedness for the coming apocalypse, you could well do with checking out Wild Thyme and Embers. For this door, they’ve been an especially generous Patron and we’d love to thank them very much. They run bushcraft and wildlife sessions for kids of all ages. Simultaneously teaching them about wildlife, nature, and equipping them with the necessary skills to survive the soon-to-be-upon-us apocalypse. Which could be very handy if your family wants to survive. If you get in touch with them and mention ‘DINKY DOORS’ (The top-secret code word) then you’ll get a very special non-dinky extra special amazingly lovely dinky surprise. We think you’ll love what they do, and we’re especially happy to recommend them, given they’re similarly trying to *SAVE THE WORLD*.
On a technical note:
We’ve again tried to push our maker skills, with this being our fist ‘all metal’ door. So not just a bit of brazing, but full-on welding, bending, cutting and shaping of metal which has hopefully resulted in a door designed to survive the mean streets of Cambridge. It’s got loads of moving parts which is especially challenging for something that needs to withstand weather and enthusiastic attention.
When we installed it, the weather was truly horrible, so here’s a couple of pics, briefly snapped! We’ll try and get some more sunshiney ones soon.
If you like what we do, and want to help support our dinky mission to *SAVE THE WORLD*, take a peek at our Patreon page. Public street art is hard because you don’t have customers. And to reach the most people it’s put into a public space for free.
BUT… for the cost of a cup of tea, you can effectively buy a bit of public art. Instead of it being just for you home though, it’s in public where EVERYONE, including you, gets to see and hopefully enjoy it. You can be directly responsible for making the world more joyful and delighting young, old, rich and poor.
We’d be enormously grateful for your support - helping to cover the costs of making these Dinky Doors.

Thank you for being lovely.
